Emergency Services & Police Community Awards

2018

The Rotary Club of Coonabarabran is seeking nominations for our awards for outstanding people in the Warrumbungles Shire who serve the community, in paid and volunteer positions. These local awards which will highlight to our local community the contribution that these people make to our safety and welfare, are separate from the state awards. There will be 3 awards offered to each of the 5 Emergency Services and Police Force:

State Emergency Service NSW Fire & Rescue NSW

NSW Volunteer Rescue Association NSW Rural Fire Service

NSW Ambulance NSW Police Force

Candidates will be nominated by their peers. The nominations can be received between 31 March and 31 May 2018. The final awards night will be held on Mon 23 July 2018 at the Coonabarabran Bowling Club.

The criteria required for these awards must fit the Rotary motto ‘Service Above Self’ and demonstrate exemplary service at any level:

Personal volunteer efforts
Active involvement in helping others (community members or work mates)
Any other service demonstrating ‘Service Above Self’

The selection panel will be made up of personnel from the Services and two Rotarians. The Awards given will be

Leadership Award
Vocational Excellence Award
Outstanding Commitment Award.
